Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Konfigr Shopify app ("the App"), you ("Merchant") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or continue using the App. We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

Konfigr is a Shopify app that transforms parts diagrams into interactive shopping experiences. The App allows merchants to upload diagram images, place numbered hotspot markers, link positions to existing Shopify products, and publish an interactive parts viewer to their storefront.

The App operates entirely within the Shopify ecosystem. Konfig data is stored as JSON in Shopify product metafields. Product information (prices, stock levels, SKUs) is read live from Shopify at render time.

3. Plans and Billing

Available Plans

Current plan details and pricing are available at konfigr.com.au.

Free Plan

The Free plan is available indefinitely at no cost. Free plan merchants may create up to 5 konfigs. Creating additional konfigs requires upgrading to a Pro plan.

Free Trial

Pro plans include a 14-day free trial. If you do not upgrade to a paid Pro plan before the trial ends, the App will revert to the Free plan limits.

Billing

All billing for paid plans is managed through Shopify's native billing system. Pro Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance with automatic renewal. Pro Annual plans are billed annually in advance with automatic renewal.

Price Changes

We may change plan pricing at any time. Price changes apply to the next billing cycle and will be communicated in advance. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid plan at any time through the Shopify admin. Access to Pro features continues until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan — konfigs exceeding the free limit will be retained but may not be editable until you are within the limit.

4. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions (excluding renewals). To request a refund, contact us within 30 days of your first charge. Approved refunds will be processed through Shopify's billing system. Refunded subscriptions terminate immediately upon refund.

5. Merchant Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your konfigs are configured correctly before publishing to your storefront
  • Verifying that product links, prices, and stock information in your Shopify store are accurate
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including consumer law and any obligations to your customers
  • Ensuring that diagram images you upload do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights
  • Managing your own customer communications and disputes related to products sold through the App

6. Support

Standard support (Free plan): We aim to respond within 2–3 business days via our contact form.

Priority support (Pro plans): We aim to respond within 1 business day.

Support covers: app setup and configuration, bug reports, and general usage questions.

Support does not cover: custom development or feature requests, theme code customisation, third-party app conflicts, or issues arising from merchant misconfiguration.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with and relies on third-party services including Shopify, Fly.io, and Neon. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or service changes caused by these providers. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

8. Intellectual Property

All code, branding, design, and content comprising the App remains the property of Konfigr. By using the App, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your Shopify store only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

Diagram images you upload remain your property (or the property of the applicable rights holder). By uploading images through the App, you confirm you have the right to use them.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Shopify theme or configuration. We are not responsible for outages or service changes caused by Shopify or other third-party services the App relies on.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App is limited to the fees you paid to us in the six months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost data, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the App, your breach of these Terms, your merchant configuration decisions, or any violation of applicable law by you or your customers.

11. Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or fail to pay applicable fees. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends immediately. Konfig data stored in your Shopify product metafields is not deleted by us upon termination — it persists in your Shopify account.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Australian law.
